Ideas:
Joy-  My Mr Right loves him an Almond Joy.  Or write a little poem.  Or do something together that you both enjoy.  


Journey-  Go on a day trip, just the two of you.  Or sit down together and make a list of places you would like to travel to together.  Far, near and everywhere in between.  Then make an Adventure Book (yep, I ripped this one right off of UP… actually I ripped it off of a really good friend, who ripped it off of UP).  I separated our into lengths that the trips would take, once the destination was reached.  Further and more exotic destinations would, obviously, take longer to see all and do all that we would want to.  For example, in our 1-3 days category we have Yellowstone and Yosemite.  When we lived in Idaho, Yellowstone was a much more plausible weekend trip… Now, Yosemite is much more doable for us.

Jewelry-  Make your sweetheart matching bracelets.  The first gift My Mr Right ever gave me was a paracord bracelet.  He had a very similar one, just a little bigger.  I now get one about every AT (Annual Training, which is once a year).  It’s not necessarily the prettiest bracelet, but because he made it for me, you can bet you life it’s one of my favorites.

J’adore-  Go French!  Dinner, dessert, movie (The Dinner Game is in French with subtitles, but not a totally boring movie… just put on your reading glasses beforehand! Chocolat is in English with a setting in France).  And of course, go French with your kisses too!

I- Indulge, I Love You, In-Tents, Intimate, Imagination, Imitation, Important, Impulse, Infinite, Invitation, Irresistible, Island

Indulgence Kit-  Last year, for I, my Honey got an indulgence kit. It had some of his favorite things in it.  For example:  A Dr. Pepper and a fresh lime (his poison of choice), a Sonic Gift card, some chocolate, and things for a massage – oils, lotions, candles and a CD of relaxing music.  

I Love You-  Do something big!  A large sign painted on butcher paper or poster board and hung above your bed ought to get the message across.

In-Tents-  Ok, because I was am a goofy girl, I went through a phase of saying “That’s intense, like camping” while My Mr. Right and I were dating.  Corny and dumb, but turns out it’s helpful now.  It is no longer a staple of my vocabulary (in fact, it’s pretty much a thing of the past), but it will be great when I set up our two-man tent (which my 6’3″ husband doesn’t actually fit in) in the living room (or the backyard) and we have a “camp-out” tonight, complete with a little invite this morning that said “My love for you is intense, like camping.  Join me tonight?”.  Roast s’mores in the fireplace (or make them in the microwave or find another s’more dessert recipe)  and it’s ok if there’s a little fire in the tent tonight.  Hang foil stars from the ceiling for a little extra special touch.

 Sans tent is also doable indoors… and a lot less clean up.

Invitation- Send your sweetie an invitation for your special Valentine’s Day plans.  It’s always nice to actually be invited.  And it can help build up the anticipation.  Anticipation is a good thing!  Or invite him to your next date night. 


Island-  Plan an Island-themed Date night.  Serve Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner.  Banana boats for dessert.  Have a limbo contest.  Build a “sandcastle” out of sugar cubes.  Soak your feet in the ‘ocean’ (bathtub or a small kiddie pool in the kitchen or somewhere easy to mop up).  Or go super simple.  We have our computer hooked up to our TV, so it’s really easy to get a large photo of somewhere displayed prominently.  A picnic in front of a beach isn’t as good, but it’s still a great memory.

Ideas:
Hearts-  Last year I ‘heart attacked’ my husband’s car.  This time last year, My Mr Right was working nights, so attacked his car during the day while he was asleep.  It was way cold though.  BRRR!  But he loved it when he went out and saw it.  He came back in and gave me another kiss.  I’d call it a success!

Hahaha-  Find a comedy you haven’t seen yet or his favorite comedy and watch it together.  Laughter is the best medicine, after all.  I promise, if you take the time to laugh with your sweetheart, you will be closer and your relationship will be so much better. 

His & Hers-  There are tons of possibilities for this one.  You can take just about any item and personalize it.  I found a blanket at Target for $5 and embroidered our initials into it.  You can find mugs, glasses, and even plates at the Dollar Tree and make a monogrammed set of dishes for your sweetie with glass etching.  Pillowcases are easy to personalize with fabric paint and freezer paper.  Or personalize some goblets.. 

Hawaii-  Plan a date night with a tropical theme.  Have Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner, play tropical music, watch a movie with a tropical setting, give your sweetie a treat and perform a hula dance.  Get creative! 

Hidden, Hints, Hunt-  Take your sweetie on a treasure hunt!

Honeymoon-  Recreate your honeymoon as closely as you can.  Pull out the photo albums and remember the real thing.

Hotel-  Splurge on a night away together, even if you never leave town.

Husband-  Plan a night with your husband as the theme.  Serve his fave dinner, dessert and beverage.  Let him have the remote and don’t complain.  Give him a back rub or foot rub.  Indulge him.

Hundred-  Write 100 Reasons I Love You.  Make a book, a paper chain, write the reasons on post its and hide them around the house.  How you present it is up to you.  I did a paper chain while we were dating and I found it on my new hubby’s desk when I moved in.  Apparently, it meant something.  =]
