Ok, ideas include:
Coupons- Make some coupons for your sweetie… or download the ones below. I’ve offered 6 for free. If you want more, there are two sets in my Etsy Shop, including a naughty set for those of you feeling a little frisky. I also have a set of Kid’s Love Coupons up. Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovers.
Cuddling- Let him pick a movie and snuggle in!
Cutie Pie- If you’re feeling ambitious, put together his favorite pie. If you’re feeling less ambitious than that, run to the store and go make friends with Sara Lee or Marie Calendars in the frozen desserts section. Print out a paper with the word “cutie” on it.. Glue a popsicle stick to the back of the paper and stick it in the center of the pie. Waa-lah. You just made your honey a cutie pie! =]
Cabana- Deck your bedroom out in beachy themed decor. A few seashells, pictures of the beach, ect. If you have lamps, cut out frond shapes from green construction paper and tape them to the base of your lampshade. Make a makeshift canopy over your bed with a couple of white sheets (the lighter the fabric the better) and some thumbtacks. You can fill thumbtack holes with toothpaste… so that’s not an excuse. Spend a little time in your private cabana, complete with some tropical beverages.
Camp- Set up the tent in your living room and sleep in it. Or don’t sleep in it. I think I would have a hard time convincing the hubs to do that with our memory foam mattress right upstairs. Afraid to set that dirty tent up inside? Make your own with blankets and kitchen chairs. Play a game or watch a movie inside your tent. Make sure you have some s’mores!
Car- Go for a drive. Just for fun.
Coctail- Serve cocktails (or Mocktails) after the kids have gone to bed. I have non-alcoholic recipe cards in my Etsy Shoppe. (If you purchase, you receive the whole Date Night Kit, not just the recipes.)
Cookies- There are some great cookie decor ideas HERE, whatever your style may be, there’s something for you. Talk about sugar and spice! RAWR!
Cartoons- Watch early morning cartoons with him before work. They aren’t what they used to be, but the important part is to snuggle while you watch.
Cope- Put together a “coping kit” with things like his favorite candy bar, movie (even better if you already own it), beverage, some popcorn, his brand of deodorant and toothpaste, shampoo and body wash, chapstick, coupons for a back massage, ect. The things he turns to when he’s had a rough day. Wrap it up nice (at least a use a gift bag… please not the Target or Wally-World bags you brought the stuff home from the store in). Presentation is important. Still not convinced? Would you be more excited to open a nicely wrapped present or a plastic Target bag? Point proven, I think.
Ok, I skipped over a bunch, I know. But I just don’t have time to write an explanation out for all of them. If you have questions or would like an explanation for one of the words I skipped, let me know.
Happy Romancin’!
