Bring in the New, Simple and Orderly

Ugh, sorry for being MIA last week.  I had planned about three posts for after Christmas, figuring it wouldn’t be so crazy and hectic.  Ha ha ha, right?!  We had a bug sweep through our ranks and I went from taking care of the sickies to being one!  Bleh, I hate being sick.  And poor Little Gator was sick his first Christmas.  Lame.

Speaking of Christmas, I hope yours was amazing.  If not Christmas, then whatever holiday you celebrate.  I hope it all was awesome.  I made out like a bandit when Mr. Napping Santa scored a sweeet deal on my new LAPTOP!  It’s faster, slimmer, lighter and just all around awesome, although the different keyboard style is giving me a little trouble.  Even so, I’m a lucky girl.  Thanks, Santa!

We also took some time to enjoy the snow we’ve gotten, both in the valley and up in the gorgeous mountains.  Mr and Monkey built a snowman in the front yard to greet all the family and neighbors.  We also got to tag along on one of Mr’s work trips to California.  We played in the snow while he did his lame, boring work.  Unfortunately, I left my phone in the car and didn’t get ANY pictures.  Sad, right?  Guess we’ll have to make another trip up there again soon.

A few days ago I asked about New Year’s resolutions on my Facebook page.  One of the responses I got was totally awesome.  Instead of making specific resolutions, set a theme for the year.  I LOVE this idea.  I can set goals, but not have the pressure of missed deadlines or failures.  Rather, I can focus on and celebrate the victories.  So, this year my resolution is GET ORGANIZED and FIND ORDER.  So, here’s to de-cluttering, simplifying, organizing and finding order in my home, my blog, my relationships, my consumerism and intake into my home, my little Etsy store, my children and their activities, my family and our time together.  I’m going to be all about menu planning, toy rotation, little bins and baskets, pre-scheduled blog posts and printable lists and schedules.  It will probably take the whole entire year to make a dent in our crazy lives, but I’m going to try.  So, out with the old, in with the new, simple and orderly.  2013, I’m ready for you!

Are you with me?!

I'm Krista. Ringleader here on While He Was Napping, wife to my handsome Mr. Right & momma to my THREE energetic boys, Big J (9), Little J (6) & Little N (4). We FINALLY added a beautiful little girl to our family last December.

I’m knee-deep in Tonka trucks & Thomas trains. I survive our crazy days with Vanilla Coke, Sonic slushies, sweet snuggles and little giggles. When I tuck them in tight & kiss them good night, I get a little time to create & just be me.
