It’s officially Autumn here. Has Autumn hit your humble abode yet? Or maybe you’re coming into Spring? If so, I think you are so lucky. I love Autumn, but then comes Winter and I don’t love that so much.
While the calendar says Autumn has begun the weather has apparently missed the memo because we’re still basking in temps around 80ºF and there’s a blanket of smoke from a nearby fire that has totally trashed the air quality. Between the warm weather and the raging reminder of fire season, it still feels like Summer.
But October is looming ever closer! And that’s what screams Autumn to me. October. Pumpkins, hay rides, corn mazes! I’m getting a little giddy over here! October is one of my favorites because the days are perfect. The temperatures aren’t too hot and they aren’t too cold yet.
Lucy Maud Montgomery said it perfectly in Anne of Green Gables. That movie also screams Autumn to me because I used to watch it with my mom every Fall. Seems fitting to use a quote from Anne at this time of year in my celebrating of Autumn. And why try to say something better when it’s already been perfectly stated? Because I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers too! Here’s a printable to celebrate the glory of October. Enjoy!
